This talk invites you to discover the world of artistic perfumery in the 20th century – a striking contrast to the 19th-century “hygienic” perfumery trend. It evokes the adventures of the pioneers of modern perfumery and their industrial challenges and artistic prowess in terms of perfume showcasing. Further to the International Decorative Arts Exhibition in Paris in 1925, perfume and artistic bottling entered into the exclusive circle of luxury expertise, alongside haute couture, high jewelry and porcelain…

Jean-Marie Martin-Hattemberg is an expert before the Court of Appeal of Versailles. A major collector, he is a specialist in 20th-century perfumery art and heritage.
